Santa comes to town on a fire truck, tree lighting (sponsored by the McKinleyville Chamber of Commerce), Christmas caroling, photos with Santa, horse drawn carriage rides, shops open late serving treats amd holding special sales, crafts area for kids and more. The shopping center is located at Central Ave and City Center Rd.

A McKinleyville tradition since 1968, this celebration of those brave souls who made up the Wild West mail delivery system includes a chili cook-off, firemen’s muster, Western dance and Saturday’s 11 a.m. parade down Central Avenue that rolls right into the big festival in Pierson Park.
On Saturday & Sunday there’s competitive games on horseback, part of the Gymkhana Buckle Series, at the Kjer Road arena. Don’t miss the barrel race contest. Other family-friendly fun includes an opening mixer, live music, pancake breakfast and arts and crafts and food vendors.
